Case studies

Elite Services has partnered with key clients on a number of occasions to assess difficult problems. Through site audits, consultation with clients and suppliers, and a design phase, we have been able to develop solutions to problems that often have unique operational requirements.

These are a few examples of Elite Services projects:

Auckland District Health Board – Healthcare

At Greenlane Hospital’s Building G04, three aging plant room doors had deteriorated after decades of exposure to the elements. The doors were critical for protecting HVAC equipment and needed replacing with something durable, compliant, and weather-resistant.

BP Oil – Retail – Fuel and Service Stations

BP wanted to maintain its “Gold Standard” in health and safety by reducing potential hazards at high-traffic entrances across its sites. The goal: further minimise risks around automatic door operation and pedestrian movement.

Colliers – Commercial Property – High-Rise

During a Level 3 lockdown, four large bi-parting automatic doors at 205 Queen Street began failing simultaneously. Security for the entire building, and its tenants, was at risk, with limited service availability and tight restrictions.

Colliers – Commercial Property Management

At Carat House on The Strand in Parnell, a damaged roller door had created major access issues for customers using the upstairs car park. Colliers needed the problem fixed fast, safely, professionally, and with minimal disruption to weekend trade.

FM Concepts – Commercial Property – Facilities Management

At Auckland’s landmark Vero Centre, two large glass automatic doors were causing repeated faults, resulting in costly after-hours callouts and operational frustration. FM Concepts needed a long-term, reliable solution that wouldn’t disrupt tenants.

New Zealand Police (Manurewa Station) – Government – Facilities Management

Manurewa Police Station was struggling with limited parking capacity. The layout of the main entry gate reduced available space, and reconfiguring it required close coordination with multiple contractors.

New Zealand Police – Upper Hutt – Government – Security Retrofit

The Upper Hutt Police required a secure and fully insulated workspace, converting an existing garage into an office while maintaining high-level security.

New Zealand Police (Wellington Central) – Government – Security and Infrastructure

At Wellington Central Police Station, two large roller doors used for vehicle entry and exit were failing repeatedly and required frequent, costly replacements. The Police needed a high-performance, long-life solution that ensured continuous secure access.

Totara Trust – Commercial Property

A front glass door had shattered after being hit, leaving the premises unsecured. The site had also been struggling with the door slamming in high winds, creating safety and durability concerns.
