Our Commitment to Sustainability

Throughout 2024, Elite Services worked with KPMG to develop our sustainability programme, as we map our emissions and decarbonisation activity. We aim to implement initiatives based on the four pillars of sustainability to maintain a sustainable business model in New Zealand, both now and in the future.

We’re Toitū certified

This year, we achieved our Toitū carbonreduce certification. It shows that our carbon footprint has been measured and verified. Now we are working to further reduce our carbon footprint through climate science and best practice. We share our GhG emissions data with customers to collaborate with them on our shared goal: decarbonisation for a better future.

ES chooses EVs to drive sustainable good

We’re taking serious action on our emissions This year we purchased six new Skoda EVs and installed charging infrastructure at our head office in Porirua, and in Auckland. It’s the beginning of our plan to electrify our entire fleet and work to achieve our sustainability targets.

Playing our part for a better New Zealand

Our long-term company-wide commitment is to do what’s right, and play our part in contributing to a healthy, thriving New Zealand. We’re taking a leadership position by sharing where we are at on our journey and getting feedback from our clients about how we can work with them more sustainably.

Elite Services is a registered Amotai supplier business

As a recognised Maori/Pasifika business, we have the opportunity to connect with Amotai buyers across various sectors. Amotai is New Zealand’s only supplier diversity network, and we are excited to be involved in progressive procurement in Aotearoa.

A healthy and safe workplace for all

Elite Services cultivates a strong ‘Health and Safety’ culture. Our leadership team and staff have a full understanding of the critical importance of health and safety, supported by robust policies. Further initiatives will enhance and consolidate these processes and policies. We also hold SiteWise Gold 100% certification for on-site safety.

Looking after our people

We have built employee welfare into our business. Elite Services offers all staff a living wage, comprehensive medical insurance, and support for mental health and well-being. In a survey, our staff told us that these initiatives have made a difference to them and their view of Elite Services as a considerate employer.
